Case Study

The recent ASL interpretation project Christina Lingua worked on involved providing sign language interpretation for Rick Warren’s 365 daily devotionals. This project was particularly important because it allowed these valuable messages to be shared with a broader audience, specifically the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities in English, Urdu and Spanish. Our team aimed to ensure that the devotionals, which already reach millions globally, were accessible to those who communicate through sign language.

In addition to the ASL interpretation interpretation, CL’s production team focused on creating clear and professional videos that worked well with the interpreted content, ensuring that the ASL interpreter was always visible, allowing viewers to see the signs clearly. 

The timing of the videos matched the pace of the devotionals, allowing for a natural, easy-to-follow viewing experience. The goal was to create a visually engaging experience that was also accessible, ensuring that Deaf viewers could connect with the devotionals in the same way hearing viewers could.
